High Purity Water User Group (HPWUG)

Overview

The High Purity Water Users Group (HPWUG) is a group of users of high purity water who meet approximately twice a year to discuss current issues directly relevant to their operations. Members of this group have water purification systems which may include some or all of the following technologies in various combinations:

  • Pretreatment
    • Various types of filtration
    • Softening
    • Other treatment steps
  • Reverse Osmosis
    • Hot water sanitizable
    • Single and double pass
  • Deionization
    • CDI / EDI
    • Service DI
  • Distillation
  • Distribution loops
    • Hot water sanitized
    • Ozone sanitized

The purpose of the HPWUG is for the people and organizations that own and operate water treatment systems to learn from each other, and to network with each other in a comfortable atmosphere. The intent is to share best practices as they relate to design, commissioning and validation, operation and maintenance of water purification systems.

In the Members Only section, you will find downloads of past presentations, information on future HPWUG meetings including summaries of future presentations, and details about the date, location and itinerary of future meetings. HPWUG meetings are sponsored by Cheme Engineering. Attendance is at no cost to industry members.
