Andy Duncan

Andy is the Director of Strategic Expansion at Cheme Engineering and a seasoned professional engineer with more than 35 years of progressive experience across construction, engineering, and project management. He has built his career in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology sectors, with deep expertise in automation and controls for both process systems and building automation environments.

Throughout his senior leadership roles in major biotech and solid dose manufacturing organizations, Andy has developed a strong reputation for operational insight, maintainability planning, and compliance readiness. He brings a practical, long term perspective to every project, ensuring solutions that work not just on day one, but throughout the full lifecycle of a facility.

For over two decades, Andy has been directly involved in implementing and sustaining compliant facilities, equipment, and systems. He has served as a key contributor during regulatory inspections—including FDA, HPFB, ANVISA, and European agencies—providing direct auditor interaction and coaching subject matter experts to navigate complex compliance expectations.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
